Fishing
Mandurah has a fantastic fishing section with a focus on family friendly and the practice of conservation of fish stocks. Taking fishing trips and visiting other clubs is also high on the fishing sections agenda. Included in the years calendar is:-
Fishing Competitions - 1st Sunday each month
Family Fishing Weekend - This weekend is for all comers in our region and is specifically designed for kids. Since its inception several years ago the family fishing day has grown to be one of the must do events for Peel families.
Camp Quality Day Out - is designed to give kids with a most debilitating condition a chance to have a fun day out to remember. Crabbing, sailing, and pure fun are the order of the day. Last year's watermelon pip spitting competition is a fine example of top fun for kids especially when every competitor in the "soon to be Olympic" event won a major prize.
Crabbing Competitions
The fishing section is always ready to help those who want to learn more.
Fishing people can be found helping out in their boats during sailing regattas, time trialling, and are to be found volunteering at busy bees and boat shows. If you would like to be involved in our sport, please call Warren Usher, Rear Commodore Fishing on 0421 351 455.

LATEST NEWS:
Monthly Fishing event 4th July.
With a perfect day for fishing 10 boats & 22 members and friends went out to try their luck.
As you can see from the results one of our young fisher people Ed Bradfield had a really good day with a 10.905 Kg Dhu fish. This fish was caught on a HERRING HOOK, yes as unbelievable as it seems, he was meant to catch it.
Ed is a fine example of the young members that we have here at the club. He and his sister Sammy go out on most of the fishing competitions, they also go out on Saturday’s in the Dinghy events, and this is great to see.
